My Two Cents on Virtue Ethics

One can not underestimate the relevance of virtual ethics in a fast paced and global technology team for one of the largest telecommunication company (Verizon), competing in the emerging market. In an environment where teams are collaborating at the ground level of product development to delivery, service and maintenance from global location across different jurisdictions and cultures while also interacting with a broad category of clients (internal and external). Virtue Ethics is the approach to ethics, where focus is more on character of an individual than his/her action. In an environment as described above one of the qualities that are a required to be successful is being able to adapt and respect new ideas. Both are actually interrelated if you think deeply, as when we are respectful to others and pay attention to the approach they recommend we end up being more adaptive. In an ever changing economy and to keep pace with technological advancement, this virtue applies to every organization that cannot afford to diminish and keep pace with business.
