Park Originally uploaded by prabhaJha I wish I could wear T-Shirts at work. I have this wonderful idea of making a set of T-shirt for all the weak days. It can be a white T-Shirt and I can press-transfer “Mann – Day” for Monday. “Two’s Day” for Tuesday, “Wad”- ness Day, “Thirst-Day”, “Fry-Day”, “Shatter-Day” and “Simply – Sunday”. Wouldn’t that be so much fun? It definitely will. It looks feasible only if I go back to collage some day. Some day some day – and do my masters. Lakshmi Originally uploaded by prabhaJha Freaky Friday. I was planning not to come to work today for being exhausted all week, until I read the headlines in the Wall Street Journal last night. It was a pretty big jolt. If you follow the CitiGroup news, you know exactly what I am talking about. Most of the employees had no sleep last night; at least 4 that I know woke up sleep deprived. Horrible day at the end of horrible week. I am leaving early and hope to get rested. And yes you are right, there is no point is getting worried at something prematurely, because when it comes you can do as much worrying as much you want to. Happy Weekends and please take care of those treasures in life that do not leave you based on market volatility.

Hanuman2 Originally uploaded by prabhaJha We went to Maryland over the weekend. At the suggestion of sleepover, Pratyush got ready with his roller bag and the boom box. When I told him it’s going to be a home with a boom box and he settled with the music CDs. It was wonderful trip with excellent hosts and lots of food prepared with great care. Only that I couldn’t sleep in the night and felt giddy and nauseated on the way back home. Sunday was hazy feeling all tired, we retired early as we all had to gear up and get rested for the “weekday Marathon”. It started from Saturday night and for all good reasons I couldn’t feel worse. Monday went by as brutal as it can possibly be. With a formal announcement by Citi CEO that there will be huge layoff across Citi and the no. will exceed some 55,000. At the same time stocks fell to ~ $7. It left be further damaged and back broken. While I am waiting for Friday even Thursday night will be very hopeful, I was thankful for the Monday to pass. I w

She said she is leaving early so she can vote which she couldn’t do in the morning. I remembered my friend from Brooklyn who voted early morning and was disappointed when she dint receive the sticker that said she did so. And a cabby shouted as she passed “Do not forget to vote today” Alas! Only if she had the sticker. She is a VP in finance area and was very helpful in scheduling my move. I was surprised to know she has been in Citi for over 23 years now. She has this perfect hair and I kept wondering how she manages them, well finally I asked and she told me all about it. Pratyush Originally uploaded by Alta Marie It was an eventful weekend. Friday evening as I left early and arrived to make it the Halloween parade at Kinder Kastle. It was wonderful parade and kids were dressed in all kind of costume. My little astronaut was there and it was a feast for sight. We went trick or treating till late evening until Pratyush thought his bag was too full and heavy and he dint need anymore candies, we turned to home. It was the swimming class early on Saturday morning with evaluation and Pratyush was destined to be in the same swimming class for next 2.5 months. Well that’s not bad because now he is happy and excited during the class and that is good enough for me. After all his parents are no swimmer or athletics it will be unfair to expect him otherwise with limited access to the pool or gym.
